FINAL ORDER CLOSING COSTS AND ATTORNEY FEES MATTER

This matter came before the State of Florida Commission on Ethics ("Commission"), meeting in public session on May 4, 2012, on the Commission's own motion, the Commission being advised that the matter, a referral of a petition for costs and attorney fees to the Division of Administrative Hearings (DOAH), has been settled to the mutual satisfaction of the parties to the petition, and that the DOAH ALJ has entered an order closing the DOAH file in the matter. See the letter from Mr. Paulding's counsel, dated April 17, 2012, and the DOAH order, dated February 24, 2012, which are attached and incorporated herein.

Accordingly, in view of the foregoing, this costs and fees matter is closed.

This firm represents Mr. Peter Paulding, the Respondent in the above-referenced matter. The Commission on Ethics (Commission) dismissed the complaints filed against the Respondent on January 27, 2010. On February 12, 2010, the Respondent filed a Petition for Costs and Attorney Fees with the Commission, which it referred to the Division of Administrative Hearings (DOAH) on April 2, 1010.

I am pleased to report that the DOAH proceeding has been settled to the mutual satisfaction of the parties. A copy of Judge Stevenson's February 24, 2012, order closing the file is attached for your information.
