STATE OF FLORIDA OFFICE OF FINANCIAL REGULATION IN RE: Administrative Proceeding Docket Number: LAZARUS FINANCIAL GROUP, INC., 63682 Respondent ADMINISTRATIVE COMPLAINT The State of Florida, Office of Financial Regulation, (“Office”) files this Administrative Complaint against Lazarus Financial Group, Inc. (“Respondent”), alleging: GENERAL ALLEGATIONS 1, Pursuant to sections 559.554 and 559.5541, Florida Statutes, the Office is charged with administering and enforcing the provision of Chapter 559 Part VI, Florida Statutes, and conducting examinations and investigations to determine whether any provision of Chapter 559 Part VI, Florida Statutes, has been violated, 2. At all times material, Respondent is or has been a Consumer Collection Agency licensee, having been issued license number CCA9902581. 3. Respondent’s current address of record is 14651 N. Dallas Parkway, Suite 104, Dallas TX 75254. Its President is Sherri McCann. 4. On October 16, 2014, Respondent received a written request from the Office for information concerning a consumer complaint. In Re: Lazarus Financial Group, Inc. Page 1 of 4 5. Pursuant to section 559.725(6), Florida Statutes, a registered consumer collection agency must provide a written response to the Office within 45 days after receipt of a written tequest from the Office for information concerning a consumer complaint. 6. Respondent failed to provide a written response to the Office until December 30, 2014, well after the 45-day deadline of November 30, 2014, in violation. of section 559.725(6), Florida Statutes. 7. Pursuant to section 559.725(6), Florida Statutes, the Office May impose a fine of up to $250 per day upon any registered consumer collection agency that fails to timely respond to a written request from the Office for information Conceming a consumer cornplaint. 8. Therefore, the Office is seeking a fine of $4,500.00. WHEREFORE, Respondent, Lazarus Financial Group, Inc. is hereby notified that the Office intends to enter an Order imposing an administrative fine of $4,500.00.
