car reaffirmation

I have a 2007 Escalade that I don't want to get rid of in my ch.7 bankruptcy. I have an upside down lease with a monthly payment of $2200. $1500 is for the car and $700 for the negative on my trade in. Can the court remove the negative so that my payments are only $!500? Also, can I reaffirm the auto? No one will give me a new loan.

We're in California and have the legal paperwork ready for filing for bankruptcy. We just got a call from our personal injury attorney with an offer on a case that we included in the paperwork. Although the offer was rejected, the assumption is that it will be settled soon. However, we included all the medical bills and attorney fees as debts (unresolved) but did not include the amounts as we didn't have them, and the attorney was unresponsive in giving us that information. We plan to file the bankruptcy in court on Friday - will the settlement affect or invalidate our filing? We can't afford to file again. Please advise ASAP, thanks.

I filed for a chaperter 13 along with my husband. Our payments were based on both our income. Since our filing and before our court hearing we seperated. He does not keep a job in fact I am not sure he is working right now. I will be responsable for the monthly payments on my income only which I can not afford. Hello my name is--name removed-- I unfourtnantly need to file for bankruptcy. I have probabbly about 30 to 40 thousand dollars in debt. I have a stack of bills I can't even afford to look at. About 5 are from lawyers threating to sue me, and 1 from a lawyer saying there gonna attach my wages. I cannot afford or deal to live like this any longer. I have spoke to other lawyers before and they want to charge me 16 to 18 hundred dollars. I am filing for bankruptcy if I had eighteen hundred dollars I don't think I would be filing. DIvorced and filing chapter 7

I am filing a chapter 7. In my divorce my ex-husband was given sole responsibility for the house and boat. I signed a quit claim deed on the house, but my name still appears on both loans. Do I still list these as creditors? Would the be listed as my assets? Do I have to do anything else so he doesn't lose them?
