Email Perjury

Someone is using an email that I sent to them a long time ago as damaging evidence against me. The issue is that the email has been edited/modified. It's an old (7 months) email and I don't have the original and my server claims only a 30 day backup. How can I retrieve the original email to disprove the claim? What are the laws regarding email?

Videotaping someone's home without permission

I'm a real estate agent. Recently a client videotaped a property that is currently for sale. Is it against the law to videotape the exterior and interior of a property that is for sale?

We have had trouble with our daughter talking on line with some guy that we found out she told him all about herself and where she lives, because he sent her a present for her birthday and lied to us about who it came from. My wife finaly found ou about the fact that she was chatting with this person and the fact that he is 3o some years old and that my daughter who is 16 had sent him her picture. My wife freaked out and went to the police about this guy and automatically assumes he is a predetor out after our daughter. The police said they would look into the matter but would like to look through our computer to see what else he might of sent her or talked to her about etc. My wife told the police that it was ok. My problem is that I have used Lime wire sharing program to down load lots of songs that I have used for DJing. I told my wife that I did not want the police looking at our computer because of this and the fact that this is illeagle and I could get into trouble. She then told this to the police who said that that is the least of our problems right now and don't worry about it. But I do.

I live with my parents, Im over 18, Ive been chatting at a Yahoo chatroom for quiet sometime now. I showed my cam to some men in there. One of them took a picture of it while I was nude. Now, that man sent it to another man and now is telling me that he sent my photos to my house. He says quote ''now your father knows what you really do online''. Now I want to know, do I have a legitimate lawsuit against this man?

Verizon denial of service

I have Verizon DSL. Just recently, it seems they started sneding firmware upgrades to my modem. Once the unit is upgraded, it will not stay connected. Their answer was that the modem was defective and I needed to order a new one, but if I downgrade the firmware, the modem works fine. Unlike timewarner, verizon's policy is that you own the modem, so when it ''breaks'' you're responsible for buying a new one... does this sound fishy to anyone else... they have been copletely non-responsive. I'm supposed to havebeen called twice by supervisors, but have yet to hear from anyone.

Is it legal for them to upgrade the firmware to hardware they say is mine? Aren't they hacking my home network?

My small consulting company is partnered with a large software company. We provide services (install and value-add business processing and more), to clients who purchase from this software company. This software company contacted my employees and helped them create a company to compete against me. THis is going to cost me thousands/millions in revenue. It has already cost me the thousands for lost revenue, training, methodolies, documents, supporting software we created for testing and implementation. My resource skills are unique in the market and I trained them. Can this software company do this? Do I have any rights? Can I bring financial liability against them? Please advice. If needed, I will retain legal representation. This software company approached my resources to create a company in direct competition against me.

Hi, Me and a few friends have been having problems with a few other online chatters in a chat room since Feb 11 2008. It has gotting to the point where they are making false staments about me my fiance and my friends stating we sexualy abused our children and to where I have sexual relations with co-workers ect. It is to where they are making websites to using our real names not our chat names and we have ignored them they come in with new names and cont. the harrasment and slander.We have contacted the chat room abuse form and it seems that nothing has been done to stop the situation.I myself along with others have screen shots of the harrasment and voice recordings. It also has come to the point where they are looking up information on my family members and posting there names and looking for there info. Web page content and Logo

I hired a company to design and develop and publish a logo and web pages. Today in a conversation I was made to feel that I didnt own these items I paid them to produce. I have paid them every invoice and don't owe them and money. Question: do I own the logo and web content I payed them to develop? Nothing in the workorders stated anything about ownership.

Getting your name removed from a website

I've recently become the victim of Internet stalking. The stalker has since posted a libelous article on his blog about me. This is starting to get rather creepy as it's recently been updated with my place of employment and the geographical area where I work. How do I go about getting it taken down? I've contacted the company that provides this individual with dedicated servers, and they refuse to intervene. Also, what other legal action can be taken against Internet stalkers? This isn't the first time this individual has posted on their blog about me in a libelous context.
