obtaining a fiance' visa

i read that the us fiance' has to have filed taxes over the last 3 years and has to be making at least 17,000.00 a year. i haven't files, because i've been living on child support and odd jobs. will this hinder me from obtaining a visa for my fiance' or from marrying him. do we need to do anything legally before we marry, as far as immigration is concerned

Green Card renewal. Afraid to be denied

I have a question regarding my green card renewal. I'm canadian and I got my green card in 99 after my mother's husband petitionned for me. I was 19 at the time and finished my schooling in Canada and I would go back to the US for vacations. Since I've finished my studies, I've been doing voluntary work in different countries and only go back to the States for 2 or 3 months at the time. Now my green card is expiring in April 2009 and I'm afraid they won't want to renew it because I've never worked in the States and don't own anything there. I'm afraid they'll say that because of my inactivity I can't be a US resident anymore. So I'd like to know what do they check for when analyzing a file and what are the reasons for a renewal to be denied.

I hope someone can help me, I'm very worried.

My boyfriend and I are both Australian citizens. He is in the US on an E3 visa. We plan to get married next month in New York. I am here on a visa waiver program. After we get married I know I need to exit the States and re-enter on a different visa.What is the process for this. For example if I go to Canada with my marriage certificate can I process the new visa in a consulate there? Do I need a copy of my now boyfriends visa? How long does this process take?

I want to file for adjustment of status, and because my spouse's income is below the average income required by USCIS. From what I understand, we are now supposed to find a sponser, what forms does our sponser, who is also my mother in law, need to file? is it the I-864 or the I-864A?

Can I filled my I-360 before a divorce or needs to be after, because he have toll me that he can take my kids because I'm not legal but he was never a financial support for them, he also have said that if I filled divorce I will be sorry.

my cousin was detaind crossing el paso tx border by imigratrion and than was charged with entering the country with failure to search. now he is been transfer to prison. Removing Conditional Residence Status Outside the US

I am leaving the country this August on a four-year contract before the 90-day period to remove my conditional residence status (I obtained the Green Card through marriage). My conditional Green Card expires at the end of November 2008. I am not sure what to do. I won't be in the US to file I-751, there seems no point in filing I-131 since it will only be valid until my conditional residence expires, i.e. Nov 2008. What can or shall I do?

Green card marriage

My girlfriends Visa expires in August. We are planning to get married and apply for a green card but are unsure of the time it takes to get it. She may have to go back to her country until it is processed but we'd like to make sure that she can definitely come back to the US with no problems. Does it make more sense to marry now and file while separated, or take our chances with a fiance visa and wait until she comes back (if they approve it) ???? Please advise.

My now boyfriend came as a tourist, applied for a extension of stay which was denied and received a letter saying that had 180 days to leave under section 212(a)(9)(B)(i), he never did...it's been 3 years, we met last year and want to get married, but somebody told us that because of that letter he won't be able to get legal, that he will be deported...is that true? adjustment and travel after marying US citizen

I asked before but did not give full picture of the situation. I'm foreign. I'm visiting US in December to spend my birthday with my US citizen boyfriend. He invited me for a week at Vegas so I am under impression he will propose me there. My question is: if I marry in Vegas and leave the US to spend Christmas with my parents as I do every year, I can't return to US with him before adjustment (that maybe take ages). If I marry in Vegas and applly for parole to travel immediately, I don't think it can be done in time for Christmas with my family oveseas. If I get pregnant (our plans to marry is to have children straight away because we are over 40) and we stay overseas waiting for adjustments perhaps we can't return to US t give birth to the kid there as we want. Any solution???? How long after marrying in US a couple can travel overseas?
