I applied an immigrant visa for my MOM, NVC asked me to fill up the affidavit of support form and send to NVC. Question is there are no of affidavite of support forms, I need to know what perticular form I need to fill up.

Stalemate

This is a follow up to my previous post..Immigration issue.

My wife and myself have been living apart now for 5mths..i have discussed with her about making up,moving back in and helping her with her mortgage/bills but she doesnt want my help and is not concerned about the immigration process(removal of conditions)..her response is that the marriage needs to get better first..threats of divorce have been made by her on and off in the meantime and i feel like my Immigration situation is being abused or not taken seriously...What options are left for myself in this situation as i cant really sit back and wait around while she plays this game?

i was sent to an ij for deportation proceedings,my records were lost and the judge closed the case due to lack of evidence.my green card was taken from me,so i applied for citizenship which i know i will be denied,due to domestic vilonce issue back in 95.my question is being that i am no longer in deportation can i file an i-90 replacement card. card expired 11/06. also my interview for n-400 is 4/23 can they re-open the the deportation case again? should i just give up,this has been an on-going ordeal for a year and half

I am U.S citizen but my husband is not

my husband was traveling from Texas to Tennessee and immigration stoped the busline in which his was traveling this happened in Louisiana and they took him to jail because he doesn't have papers. Is there anytihng I can do for him?

3 years after conditional or 3 years in total?

citizenship which is done on the basis of marriage, should a person be expecting it after 3 years of conditional green card n regular combined or 3 yrs after getting the un conditional one making it 5 years in total?

I am on OPT after completing PhD in a US university and have been working for a University. We filed for H-1B in first week of January '07 but haven't received a receipt or notification from INS. Is there a way to get status of my application.

I have pass the exam for becoming a citizen, I never recived a letter to apper to any seremony or anything like it, insted I got a letter saing that my case was closed because I faild to apper to the seremony wich I never recived how can you help me.

E-2 visa:starting a business on the side - what tasks am I allowed to do?

I am currently working on a E-2 visa here for a foreign company and i intend to keep working for them. In addition, I would like to start a business. I already know that i can only act passively, e.g. be the shareholder and owner but it is illegal for me to operate daily business actively and get paid (is that so?) . And this is my question. What exactly can I do? Considered I do NOT receive a salary or compensation whatsoever, can I do the following:

- Negotiate with Advertising Agencies in the US

- Set up a Warehousing system

- Negotiate with suppliers

- setting up an ecommerce website?

Where are the boundaries? again, i will not receive salery, only the profits from the llc.

My second question is:

I guess I have to appoint a CEO. to do this, do i need to qualify as an employer in my state of NY?

Reentry permit needed?

I got greencard in jun 2004.

Now I had to go India because of social and medical reason, as My mother is extremely sick last 2 years.

Now i went india in oct 05 to jan 06 and nov 06 to jan 07.

My family - my son,daughter and wife is in america during that time.

Son is 9 yr old, Daughter is 13.

I am the only one who earns in the house. I file all tax returns and have all documents.

I have not been out of USA more than 6 months.

If i have to go india for 1 month, do i have to take reentry Permit?

As per law, I have not been out more than 6 months,so i should be ok to go india for 1 month without any notice.

Please advice me soon.

I'm filling the I-864 for my mother but I don't know what to do exactly. My uncle is going to help me out so he will be filling for the affidavit for me, do I still have to file it even if I don't have a job? And can I have more than one affidavit support? And how to do file it if I do?

L2 to H1B

Hi,

I am wokring on L2 EAD as a Senior Software Engineer in a big company. I requested them to process a H1B visa. Since I am the only foriegn national out of 10000 employees, they do not know much about importance of H1B. They said they will take care of it. My worry is that they do not know How eagerly people are waiting for 1st April 2007.Visa number might get over just like that. So My question is What are the documents that need to make it ready from my side for submitting.Since I am on L2 EAD working and same company is applying to H1B, Do I need submit all my previous experience letters.

I am a british citizen and i have a british passport.

I have lived in the united states for the past 40 years.

I also has a green card ( the color looks blue ) ( never renewed or replaced

this card) no expired date.

I had this card since 7/19/66 when i came into the united states...It shows:

my picture - my registration number - port of nyc - date of entry 7/19/66 -

class - np-1 - and shows my date of birth and female status

there is also a 15 on the bottom left part of the card

***** do i need to obtain a new one ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

I has not travel back to the uk for many many years and wish now to take a

trip there in the next few months and wants to make sure that the green card

is usable ( the british passport was just renew and i have it.

Please advise me so that i can start making plains to visit the uk

H1b1 tax question?

I have a question about the tax law for H1b1 visa holders. I am working on for a compnay for past two years on h1b1 visa. last year i earned about 60k and they gave me 1099 and i paid my own taxes. this year i have earned about close to 100k and i probably have to pay my own taxes as well. they are going to give me 1099 again this time instead of W2. as far as i know the company should be responsible to pay my taxes and i should be getting a W2, i told the company about that and they said for the job they have hired they will give 1099 only. I dont want to be responsible for paying 50k in tax for this year, do i have a case where i can held the company responsible for paying my tax?

filling w9 with other company while on H1b

I am on H1B visa. I want to start website with affiliate program like commision junction. They are asking me to fill out W9 form so they can process form 1099. Will this affect on my H1B status? Can I work from home with this kind of affiliate program?
