car accident and owner of the car is deceased

My mother owned a truck and another person hit this truck, my mother is now deceased. How do I get the money from the insurance company. I don't want to pay an attorney and go to probate.

I had no insurance at the time it had lasped. My husband always took care of the bill. He left me and the bill never got paid. So as soon as I found out I got insurance, however the other person filed the claim. I missed 2 payments and I had my license suspended. My question is I have carried insurance since the incident why do I have to file an sr-22? It increases your rate. I do not feel it is fair. Im paying the debit as well as the insurance.

Arsonists burned an abandoned house next door. The fire spread to my garage, destroying the structure and its contents. The building where the fire originated was already partially burned out and filled with old clothing. The land was used as an easement by children and it was foreseeable that someone would start a fire. My ex -husband died and I am still named as beneficiary of the policy. We had paid on the policy for almost 23 years. He became a drug addict and the official cause of death was complications of MRSA sepsis due to intravenous drug abuse. According to our final divorce decree which I obtained by default, he was not entitled to proceeds of my life insurance policy should I pre-decease him but the final divorce decree did not exclude me from entitlement to proceeds from his life insurance if he pre-deceased me. Will the insurance company still pay me since he never changed me as beneficiary?

lost wages due to loss of use of vehicle

My sons car was totaled by another driver and he delivers pizza for a living. The insurance company of the other driver will not pay for lost wages while he was without a vehicle to work. They provided a rental car for 4 days 7 days after the accident but he was not allowed by the rental company to use it for pizza delivery. he used it tryng to find another car with the small amount of money they paid him for his totaled car. Now they tell me the law in Virginia does not require any payment of lost wages due to loss of use of vehicle. They are trying to tell me he should have had his own insurance to cover this. All he had was liability on his 4000$ car that they would'nt give him but 2300$ for. He did see a doctor about a shoulder injury that seems to have healed on its own. He lost 3 weeks of work and alot of it would have been tips. What can we do if anything? Thank you Robin

my boss owns an online store that sells thousands of products. He recently had storm damage and had to suspend his online business for over a month. His loss of business insurance paid up until his very first sale, then stopped payment. Since it's on online store, the first sale does not mean he's back in business per se, but that he just made a sale, as it subsequently took him three more months to actually get back to where he was as he had to wait on the online vendors to post his products again. My question is: does the insurance company owe him more money for loss of business?

My car was hit while parked in a lot. The person who hit my car also hit 4 other cars. The police report clearly explains the accident and even states that the cause of the accident was due to her attempt to pass unsafely to the right. The insurance company claims that thier client denies all fault and are refusing to pay for damages. I only have liablility insurance. Can you give me any advice about what I can do?

Beneficiary Designation

My daughter is named as a partial beneficiary on a life policy along with the sole heir to the decedent's estate. The policy was effective 7 days prior to the insured's death, but the enrollment form with intial beneficiary designation (together as one form) was not delivered to the employer (Group Life) prior to death. This initial enrollment form was found after the insured's death and subsequently delivered to the insurance company. The form was completely filled out, signed, and dated. The decedent's sole heir is claiming that since the original beneficiary designation was not delivered, it is not effective and the policy proceeds should go through the estate. It seems that there should be consideration for the fact that the insured was ill and died only a short time after completing the form. Help?!?!

Public school parking lot

My son, six yrs. old, was on lunch break outside at his school with several other kids. A student claims that my son threw a rock at a parked car and cracked the windshiled of this vehicle. I have received a phone call from the principal saying that the windshield will cost me $220 to replace. I have yet to see any legal documents stating that my son has cracked this windshield. My son while covered under my insurance was bamboozled into a damages settlement claiming he was told that he was not fully covered under his parents car insurance policy (he was covered). Do I have any recourse now on his behalf? Could he legally be assessed if under 21 yrs old? What if he had been paying this settlement and he signed something but was not 21 yrs old when he signed it? No what?
