I wan in a Quick Quack car wash in Rancho Mirage,CA on October 30th

We we’re hit from behind very hard and we were in shock as our vehicle went off the track. We had extensive body damage to our Mercedes Benz G wagon. The tire cover was smashed off and whole back door was ajar and pushed up off the alignment of door threshold. All of Quick Quack employees witnessed along with my husband. The employees assured me that everything would be taken care of. This is my families only car and it’s damage shakes the care while driving and something doesn’t sound right in the wheels. Over a month+ of calling the manager emailing her texting her she never responded. So we went to the car wash at 3 separate times and kept giving us excuses on what we should do about the damage.

Should I take this to a body shop now without compensation? This is going to cost a pretty penny that I really don’t want to spend since this whole situation was not at any fault of mine. I’m just sick to my stomach. I’ve on my own calculated the costs of new parts and it came out to $ 12,000 - $19,000

This amount is too much for me. So what is my next step. Medical complications still recovering and receiving???

I’m not sure what kind of lawyer either.

I am a defendent in a civil court lawsuit, I was not only unaware that I was going to be sued(she said she was going after the funeral home). I was also given less then two weeks notice, short time to find a lawyer or even get myself ready! How does one file a continuance on their own?

I was involved in a car accident two years ago, the other driver being at fault. I have retained an attorney as the insurance company is refusing to pay for the medical bills (approx 7,000 at present). The hospital has turned these medical bills over to collections, which has adversely affected my credit. Can they legally do this even though the other persons insurance company is liable to pay these medical bills?

I have a lawsuit against the Catholic church because I was the organist there for 30 years (non-consecutive) and I was fired after I told the pastor that I had been sexually abused there as a child for over a five year period - I was a child prodigy organist and started working there at age 11 and was abused by the choir director for 5 years. and I hired another lawyer on a contingency basis. We didn't sign a contract and she recently won in Maryland Appeals Court for the second time - the church an no longer use the ministerial exeption as a loophole to avoid lawsuits from organists. Now, four years later, she wants me to sign a contract - I hired her on a contingency basis and now she has alot of other financial demands. , including hiring her as my exclusive lawyer, and paying he $175.00/hr

for work done if there is no settlement and/or judgment against the Catholic church. Just what am I obligated to pay for in the state of Maryland. Please help.

We have reached a possible settlement point and the church is stalling my lawyer. She sent me the contract by e-mail totally by surprise 6/23/07.

Attorney Resigns from PI Case

I had an Arkansas attorney who worked on a PI case for me. The auto accident happen in 2002, about 10,000 in doctor visits as late as 06, he resigned, released in April 07. I am very close to a settlement that is at least 10,000 more than he wanted me to settle for. There is a lien, if I've managed to get this amount and he resigned what and why do I owe him? Is he intitled to the money? How do I sue an attorney in Arkansas? No discussion prior to his resigning. I learned he had resigned because I emailed a question about a document he sent. Thanks.

city responsibility in drowning in city park

Young man drowns in lake at City Park in Broward County, FL. Lake was not dredged, man made lake) to dredge permit. Lake edge should have been 7 to 1, instead lake drops to 35 feet. City was aware of this yet failed to post any warnings untill after this tragic accident. Now there are posted signs steed drop off. Can anyone help this family?

beat up by friends

I got beat up by friends last night 06/9/07, one of them was the dad who got arrested..but the other two didn't go to jail...the officer said they just got cited for assault and battery. What should I do if I want them go to jail also. My wife saw what happened and fainted because she was pregnant.. I call 911 for her to get help... Can I file a claim for all the emotional and physical injury that we received from those guys, for my wife and my self. Right now my neck my back and also my right arm still hurt. I got hit several times in the head with punches and a tiki lamp. I toke pictures and I also have police case number from San Jose, CA police department. I have 5 doctors who say i`m disable at this time .chrio,ortho,nero.spine specalist,pain management.3 mri show cervical disc herination,with one pushing on spinal cord pinching nerves 2 emgs show nerve damage in both wrist from holding steering wheel .had carpal tunnel release done on left,waiting to do right.also have had 3 esi ,its been 3 month so i`m going for another esi.pos neck surgery if i don`t get relieve.can 1ortho ime denial stop my benefits

I was bitten by a dog at the local SPCA while performing assigned Community serviuce by the court. This same dog has bitten several other people before me but the SPCA did nothing. Is the SPCA covered by Charitable Ammuity ?

Rear-ended by attorney

In April 03, my daughter & I were passengers in a vehicle stopped at a red light & were rear-ended. The other driver said ''no body's hurt, see you in court'', gave us a business card & left the scene. When police pulled him over less than a mile away & cited him for failure to control & leaving the scene, he admitted fault & said he was in a hurry to get back to Omaha. We then discovered the driver's name, that he was an attorney in Nebraska and that he had given us his own business card!

My daughter was not injured, but our driver & I both sustained injuries & filed suit against the other driver.

In December 06, we were granted a default judgement against the other driver (represented himself & kept not showing up for court & not filing paperwork in timely manner, etc).

However, the other driver was under-insured and that we have little hope of recovering (although we do not yet know what the $ amount will be). This guy has been a complete @ss from the moment of impact.

My questions: how do we locate the other driver's assets or collect on the judgement? Also, can/does a judge take into consideration the behavior of the defendant, or the fact that defendant is himself an attorney, when figuring / awarding damages?

auto accident claim w/ limited tort

i was recently in an auto accident in feb 2007. i was at a red light, when two cars in opposing traffic, one each way, ran their lights. lady makin left, was broadsided by truck that also ran light, she then slammed into my drivers side, then he hit me head on.

i have neck/back injuries, hands, arms legs numb/tingly. as a result of this injury, i just had spinal cord surgery to remove 4 discs, replace w/metal spacers n plate fixation over 5 vertabrae. according 2 my neuro-surgeon, i will always probably have numb/tingly in my left hand and always have neck/back pain. i have loss of wages, emotional distress, cant care 4 my 2 kids like i always did,everyday normal functions are now a chore & leaves me taking pain meds n muscle relaxers. i have an attorney, i was just surfing the web, curious to find out if i surpass my limited tort, i had just switched too, 3 weeks b4 my accident. my attorney has placed blame on both other insurance companies & they have paid all my medical bills so far, my car damage etc.

so my question is, since i cant seem to get an answer fast enough, do i surpass the limited tort law in pa?

also, how do i find out how they come up w/a dollar figure for pain/ suffering? who decides what my pain is worth??
