Compassionate yet Tough
My 15yo daughter suffered a concussion, orbital floor blowout (eye-socket) and fractured her brow bone at summer camp while being 8 hours away from us. She has permanent damage to her vision from the incident and also suffers from PTSD. This by far was the worst experience of our lives. The adults in-charge of my daughter at camp did not seek medical care for my child all while downplaying her pain and suffering. When I was reunited with my daughter and was able to seek proper medical care for her she explained the incident in detail to us. I was appalled to hear what my child went through due to the negligence of adults. I knew we had to do something. I needed to fight for her. I have many friends who are attorneys and after asking around, we were directed to seek help from Andrew Yaffa at GRYC. Attorney Andy Yaffa, attorney Alex Arteaga-Gomez, and their team totally exceeded our expectations. They held our hands during the most difficult time in our lives and made sure that justice was served for our precious daughter, who now lives with permanent double vision, pain and eye fatigue from the injury. Andy and Alex fought for my child as if she were their child. I felt horrible as a mother for what happened to my child but today feel better knowing that her cries for help were eventually heard and justice was served for her so that she can move on with her life. I cannot thank Andy, and his team at GRYC, enough for the role they have played in our lives and of course for helping my daughter heal emotionally. I highly recommend GRYC when you need someone to advocate for you to right a wrong.
