Gave hope and took it away
Banda has the credentials but lacks experience in the family law arena. Our free phone meeting left me feeling hopeful. Over time, this lawyer made promises that were not realistic and much info she’d led me to believe was true— wasn’t. She works from 100% email communications only. After the first call, don’t expect any future calls. I begged for a call as there were multiple errors in the drafts she sent to me. She’s never available. Worst is the letters to the opposing attorney were filled with grammatical errors and errors in dates/facts. Also, two times she’d sent me another client’s financial discovery paperwork. That incident made me realize no matter how nice she is, she doesn’t have a proper support system ( no assistant) and confuses her various client’s info. That’s dangerous. Some basic family laws like the fact a therapist for a minor child cannot be spoken to by a lawyer nor can they break confidentiality even if subpoenaed by the judge— She didn’t know. Banda didn’t know those key facts which means that she doesn’t have enough experience in complex family laws. In the end, her unwillingness to discuss strategies, her slow as a snail response time , her lack of truly working on the client’s best interests and the fact she’s out of town a LOT =A waste of money and precious time to me. She’s reasonably priced but I got what I paid for. Plus, she’s not returned what’s left of my deposit. She even left the opposing attorney’s last letter unaddressed which leaves me in a bad position with no protection. Not one thing came from her representing me. I had such high hopes and had tons of factual evidence which she did nothing with. Lots of promises. No results. True to form, as she lashed out at me three times before, I wouldn’t be surprised if she blasted me here but the difference is that I have no reason to fabricate my story— she does.
