Steer clear of this attorney

I was a client for several years. He led me to sign agreements that were clearly not in my best interest and allowed my trademarks to expire.

I used this attorney for several of my trademarks, copyrights, and licensing agreements. He let my trademarks expire without notifying me and was very unprofessional.

Carl Spagnuolo is my competitor. I met him as an adversary. He was opposing counsel in an adversarial trademark matter. Instead of taking the approach of most litigators, he saved both of our clients money and strengthened both of their trademark positions by suggesting a business approach which eventually caused our clients to become partners. I now consider him a friend, and I regularly suggest that clients contact him when I have a conflict of interest. I think he would have a 10 Rating from Avvo if he paid more attention to enhancing his online profile and less to his client's trademark and entertainment matters, but that's Carl. He is not a vain person. He gets the job done and doesn't pat himself on the back after.
