While attending the undergraduate program at the University of Florida, Mr. Cunha earned two separate bachelor degrees in the majors of Finance and Political Science while obtaining a minor in Economics. After completing his undergraduate studies, Mr. Cunha remained in Gainesville, Florida where he earned his Juris Doctor from the Fredric G. Levin College of Law at the University of Florida. In order to obtain immediate courtroom and trial experience, Mr. Cunha became a prosecutor in Palm Beach County. After several years as a felony prosecutor and over a hundred jury trials, Mr. Cunha established the Law Offices of James S. Cunha, P.A.
