Detail Oriented

Mr. Hackworth has been my attorney for both of my divorces. He is very detail oriented and tells me step by step what to do in order to do what is best for my kids and myself. His staff is also very helpful! I would highly recommend him if you are wanting an attorney with lots of experience and knows the process thoroughly.

Grateful for John Hackworth!

John Hackworth is known for being the one of best family law attorneys in Tampa Bay but to me he’s become a hero and friend. When I met John, I was living a life of fear with what felt like a system rigged against me. I was broke, stuck in a small apartment raising my child with little financial support and scared to start a life with a new spouse. John fought for my rights to get control back of my life and empower me to live out my dreams with my new husband and my child at my side. We are now living a happy, abundant life together with a new home, new boat and even a dog. I finally feel free! I’m not afraid anymore. I’m so grateful to having found John. He’s changed my life!

Personal Injury Lawyer - Thank Goodness I Found Him!!!!!!!

Mr. Hackworth helped me with my personal injury lawsuit after my car crash. I was a complete mess and he was always very supportive, super knowledgeable, and quick to respond to my endless questions. AWFUL FAMILY LAW LAWYER, IGNORANT TO FLORIDA LAW

It is apparent in my case that this fella is scared to go to bat for you. He is way too sensitive and shies away from being firm and purposeful when the opposition makes obvious missteps. In my litigation, he thinks of himself instead of working for me. It has been made clear to me that he is not very familiar with Family Law here in Florida, and possibly anywhere because he refuses to pursue gross violations of said laws. It's quite the contradiction because he thinks he knows everything which is evidenced by him not wanting to listen to anything I have to say. Perhaps he is better at DUI's, DWI's, and traffic law, I wouldn't know. All that I know is that for me, it was a HUGE mistake to hire this lawyer and the cost was twofold: overpriced fees and the biggest cost, a lost case. My advice, keep looking.

I have worked with John consistently on a variety of cases, both Family Law and Criminal Defense. I have also had the opportunity to observe him with clients, his staff, court staff, and Judges. John has consistently conducted himself as a professional, in both high pressure and high frustration situations.
