I was called as an expert witness for a very difficult divorce/custody battle. I knew all parties. This case was challenging and a real heart breaker. Many times, where the rubber meets the road, is having counsel who is going to stand up for the best interest of the children first and who can also be reasonable and fair. This was my experience of Mrs. Yochim's work. After an excruciatingly long, drawn out proceeding there was the "final hearing". Mrs. Yochim was up against the more seasoned, well-known attorney, and she held her own. She was not the pit-bull. She was reasonable, confident and matter-of-fact in her presentation. I must say, just the "intimidation" factor of going up against the "celebrity" of her colleague, made her the obvious "underdog". In the end, justice prevailed and she won.
