Thankful
I started the search for representation about a year ago, and set up consults with a couple lawyers; Katie was the only one I felt really listened to me, seemed to understand what I was going through, and told me the reality of my situation with both compassion and empathy. My priority was the safety of my child and I believe she mirrored my concerns. She was always readily available, thoroughly (and patiently) answered any questions I had, and treated me and my case as a priority. Her office provided transparent invoices at the end of each month so I always knew what was happening with my retainer. I didn’t think that would be an aspect of her representation that would matter to me, but it helped me to understand the financials in a more natural way. It was clear from the very beginning, and even clearer when the tough stuff started happening, that I was being represented by a woman of the utmost integrity and intellect. I recognize that selecting a lawyer, especially for family court matters, is a very personal thing. What I can say is that I felt proud to have her in my corner, and I’m so thankful I hired her.
