Mrs. Langbein is an experienced litigator, mediator and arbitrator. That means she has the experience to guide your case through court and take it to trial if necessary, and she also has the knowledge and experience to know how your case or dispute should settle. She has appeared as counsel in well over 200 federal court cases in the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida as well as state court cases in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. She is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in the specialty of Labor & Employment Law, a distinction that requires high standards of legal knowledge and professionalism. Mrs. Langbein represents individuals and companies in claims involving minimim wage and overtime pay, all types of discrimination. retaliation, Whistleblowing, Family Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and business and trade secrets disputes among others. She provides advice to and defends property owners and managers in Fair Housing and Title III, ADA cases. Her philosophy in the practice of law is one of practicaility, aiming for the path that makes the most sense for each individual client. She applies the same philosophy in her mediation practice. She engages the parties to carefully analyze their claims and burdens of proof to decide whether it is best to litigate or settle. Mrs. Langbein has been a Florida Certified Circuit/Civil Mediator since 1996 and has mediated nearly 1000 cases. She is listed member on mediation panels of the United States District Courts of the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, the American Arbitration Association, the American Health Lawyers Association and the Florida Department of Insurance. She also serves as an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association (Commercial, Employment and Labor panels), the Amerian Health Lawyers Association and on several public sector panels. Mrs. Langbein is a former chair of the Florida Bar Labor & Employment Section and a long time member of its Executive Council.
