Ms. Anderson represented the Florida Crane Owners Council and the Florida Crane Coalition in a case against Miami-Dade County and the League of Cities / League of Counties in Federal Court in Miami. In our opinion, this case was not based upon safety or industry recognized standards but one merely for revenue for the county. The proposed ordinance would not only serve to stop all construction in the Miami area but also throughout Florida as a whole. To pinpoint this ordinance against one industry in particular to achieve revenue was not only unfair but immoral. Our case was presented directly, succinctly and concisely before the Federal Court of Appeals in Miami, Florida with such vigor and determination that out position stood out before the court. The Courts found in our favor and an injunction was entered on our behalf thereby stopping the ordinance in it tracks. This would not have been possible if it were not for the efforts of Ms. Anderson in bringing the clarity and reason needed for this win.
