Personal Injury Lawyer failed to represent me in a court of law.

I hired Michael Fenimore to defend me in a slip and fall accident that happened in a hotel. During the this time, he did not contact me with updates on my case. I would call his office and was not able to talk with him. I would leave messages on his voicemail and he would not return my calls. After sending him detailed information on what happened and giving him a spreadsheet on the course of treatment for my injury, he failed to accurately state these facts in the demand letter he sent out. The most damaging misconception was that the hotels insurance agent repeatedly stated that I lost my balance, and no where in any written or verbal statement did I ever say that. I made this perfectly clear to this attorney that I slipped and fell of a wet floor, and he failed to correct that in the demand letter. Even though he stated that the case will most likely go to court, he failed to bring it to litigation. I ended up settling one tenth of what the demand letter asked for, and I got only 30% of that, because I thought I had no other choice. It turns out I could have hired another lawyer to take his place.
