I hired Mr. Gorman to handle some real estate matters for me and its been a nightmare since day one. He was very hard to get a hold of, was disinterested in follow up and his staff was rude, which I think consists of a part time secretary and his wife. None of whom communicate with each other or on the same page. They rang up a bill on me which I refused to pay based on our understanding of what I wanted done/handled. After numerous times of trying to come to an agreeable settlement they have filed a lawsuit against me for the unpaid balance. Watch out for his billing in which he rounds everything up to .10 hours. a 15 second phone call will cost you $58.00. I have used a lot of local attorneys over the years but his one takes the cake. avoid at all costs!
His hourly rate is 250.00 an hour which is normal,,,,,,but when he has to step in and defend cases in Okeechobee because the county attorney, John Cassells, has a conflict of interest, which happens very often, he charges 400.00 an hour,,,,,,,do I smell kickback to the Okeechobee attorney ????? Inquiring minds want to know...............I gave him and excellent rating because he knows how to milk the system for all its worth,,,not for his legal excellence !!!!
