Tom Hudson is considered a national authority on DUI defense, as one of about 50 lawyers nationally board-certified in the field by the National College for DUI Defense. He is a member of the faculty of the NCDD Summer Session, taught at Harvard Law School each July. His criminal law experience includes over 300 jury trials, from traffic violations to felony drug trafficking offenses in State and Federal Court to death penalty murder trials. He has been trained as a Florida Breath Test Operator, and is certified as an instructor in the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests promulgated by the U.S. Department of Transportation. He has also been trained as a "DRE" or Drug Recognition Evaluator. Tom has been teaching laymen, paralegals and lawyers for 20 years
Besides our legal accomplishments, The Hudson Law Office has been active in our community. Tom has had the honor of sitting on numerous nonprofit boards, and is currently a member of the Advisory Board of the Sarasota Animal Rescue Coalition. Along with his three-legged pit bull Pippi, Tom volunteered at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Sarasota every Saturday afternoon for over five years, visiting the patients and inspiring them with Pippi's courage.
