File for bankruptcy or pay off the debt.
See a Bankruptcy lawyer near you. Stopping a wage attachment is something that comes up in a lot of bankruptcy cases and can be dealt with very quickly. A bankruptcy lawyer can look over your entire situation and see if bankruptcy would be a good option. There may be other ways to deal with this other than bankruptcy under Kentucky law and the bankruptcy lawyer will know what would be best for taking care of the problem. Hope it works out. Good luck!
no contract
I reciently hired licenced contractor to do a job, and he made some serious mistakes on the job. I never signed a contract or any other paper through this whole process now he has billed me. But i will have to go back and fix his work as he refuses to do so. Where do i stand with no contract i have not paid him yet.
Child Support Payment
My ex-husband is not paying the full child support amount that was court ordered. He's only paying half the amount and child support says that they are not going to do anything. He is employed full-time and it is a court ordered wage attachment. His employer claims they lost the copy of the court order that Child Support sent to them. Secondly, I want my case to be transferred from Howard County to Baltimore City because I have to go to Child Support in Howard County every quarter of each month and it takes a lot of gas money to go there being that I live in Towson, MD. I was told by child support that I have to send a petition to Howard County court requesting my case to be transferred to Baltimore City and/or County. I'm not sure what the steps are in obtaining and submitting a petition to get this done.
Thank you!
