Called the BMV in Ohio because they froze my California DL. They gave me the number for court they are looking everything up
Wow, what a nightmare. I'm a bit surprised it's just now surfacing. To answer your question, the statute of limitations for most misdemeanors in Ohio, including DUI, is two years (http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/2901.13). That being said, I'm not sure that the statute of limitations would apply in this case if you were charged, served with the citation and THEN failed to appear.
Fortunately, there are MANY other defenses in an Ohio DUI case, particularly one as old as yours.
Call me if you'd like to discuss.
Thanks.

Divorce lawyer has not helped.
My wife, was divorced about 7 years ago. She used an attorney to help her get her child support paid. But after over five years of getting less than 5 percent of the amount of child support ordered by the court, and the lawyer getting well over $20,000 in judgements for himself, while my wife received almost nothing. My wife, fed up with receiving almost nothing in child support during this time, settled for a reduced amount without the aid of her attorney. Finally she is getting paid almost on a regular basis. The question my wife and I have, due to her former attorneys lack of results, she lost over $65,000 for the time he was representing her. I know asking an attorney if you have recourse against another attorney may seem wrong, but what is wrong is the fact that for over 5 years, this attorney failed to ever gete any payments for my wife, but got payments for himself. Your thoughts would bee greatly appreciated.
How do you absolve a previously signed operating agreement for a L.L.C.?
I recently drafted an operating agreement for my L.L.C. and would like to know if I decide to make a more indepth or change any of the current policies in the first agreement with the new Operating agreement, is there a special article that I must add to either (old or new) to void the previously signed agreement?
