Called the BMV in Ohio because they froze my California DL. They gave me the number for court they are looking everything up
Wow, what a nightmare. I'm a bit surprised it's just now surfacing. To answer your question, the statute of limitations for most misdemeanors in Ohio, including DUI, is two years (http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/2901.13). That being said, I'm not sure that the statute of limitations would apply in this case if you were charged, served with the citation and THEN failed to appear.
Fortunately, there are MANY other defenses in an Ohio DUI case, particularly one as old as yours.
Call me if you'd like to discuss.
Thanks.

Reservation Law vs California Law
In a situation regarding child custody, an emergency temporary custody was granted by an Indian Reservation Judge just an hour before the same type of hearing was to be held in Superior Court. (When the mother was served with papers, she ran to the reservation first). The papers state that the Reservation laws stand and California laws have no bearing. Is this true? Is there anyway to have this heard in a Superior Court rather than a Reservation Court?
benefiary debt obligation
Am I legally obligated to pay a deceased persons debt if I am the beneficiary in the will. The funeral will cost $10000. The assets of the deceased are about $8000 {insurance and mobile home} with liabilities of approx. $15000. The bank has $1400 of the deceased but she has a credit card thru them, owing $4400. Can they attach her bank accounts due to the CC debt and and am I liable even though I have signed nothing?
Student rights
does a high school teacher have the right to intimidate a student, lay their hands on them without permission, and steel from them. I am asking because my principal told me they can do what ever they want on school property. This all happened to me. Also, I am a soldier in the Ohio Army National Guard and when i wore my uniform near this teacher he made fun of me, and the Army the entire time i was in his class. I was wondering if i could file charges on this teacher?
