I have a misdemeanor warrant from warren county and my boyfriend has a misdemeanor warrant and a felony warrant from hamilton and butler counties. If you are picked up in a non adjoining county will they extradite you back to warren county? For example, if you are picked up and identified in highland county?
I agree with the previous answers. Also keep in mind that that due to COVID, if the warrants are for non-violent offenses, the jails in the arresting and/or receiving counties may not want you.
I agree with the prior answer and would add that it's usually worse for you if they won't transport you. You end up sitting around in jail for a couple of days wherever you are picked up while they verify that you can be released and there's nothing you can do about it. Meanwhile your car has also been impounded and you are in a big mess. Take care of the warrants!
A warrant will follow you wherever you go until you clear the warrant. The issuing court can even put a warrant block on your ID/or Drivers License with the BMV. You will be unable to get a ID/ or Driver's Licenses due to it. If you are arrested on the Warrant depending on the counties, will depend on how /when you will be sent to the county that issued the warrant. You should hire an attorney to help clear the warrant and help you with the underlying criminal matter.
