Maritime Lien

I delivered a yacht from the US to Europe and have yet to be paid final payment. Owner says he will pay partial, but will withhold around $4,000 for repairs. Items needing repairs are normal wear and tear, and contract provides that all damage is client's risk. Should I sue for breach of contract, or should I sue for Maritime Lien? Can I do both? If Maritime Lien, in US Federal Court, or in Europe where boat currently sits?

serious crime committed . no help from law enforcement-now what

A theft has occured against my family for a theft of our yacht. I have many police agencies in florida on record confirming it was clearly a gran theft. The police involved wouldnt even investigate. said i had a civil matter. Also tried state attorneys office in the area they said because sheriffs office said civil its civil. I have many people on record confirming grand theft but nobody will prosecute these people in the good old boy area. We desperately need help.

brokering yachts in florida...

i wrote in a question earlier and got a response but dont think i asked it clearly enough..

if i am a licensed sales broker working under a brokerage in florida can i broker deals occasionally as myself privately and keep all the commission or once im a broker i must follow broker laws/guidelines on all transactions?

im trying to find out if i can do side deals and put the commision money into my private account or if thats illegal..

the boats im dealing with would be over 33 feet..

What basis does admiralty law have today in a court of law or to submit a judgment collection without a ''court hearing''?

One further question; is it possible to be a federal agency by self-certification if that group claims to be a sovereign state? Would they not have to be registered within a federal counsel and have a government license/certification?

Sharing privileged information

As demanded, I have produced copies of my timecards to the defendant's attorney to show all the time I have taken off work because of my case and have asked for compensation.

The attorney now has asked me to produce the name of my supervisor, head of HR, and all the doctors I have ever visited.

I believe this information is privileged and I should not share it with the attorney.

Can I insist on not sharing this information? I have not told my boss about my legal case and have not visited any doctors. Just had to take time off to focus on the issues and get the job done.

non payment for yacht delivery

I was solicited by a yacht broker to deliver a 45 sportfish, Miami to Venezuela, that he just sold to a client. The new owner is from the Netherlands and is going to document boat in Venezuela and put in charter in Curacao. After minor mechanical issues and rough weather I terminated the delivery in St Thomas for the broker to finish. I cooperated w/ broker and provided full accounting of time and money spent. Broker has deferred me to owner for payment, owner is not paying me for partial delivery and broker is assuming no responsibility even though he was acting as owners agent at time of requesting my services. I delivered the boat free from damaged and help organize crew for final leg of delivery. Can I take the Fl. licensed broker to small claims or file Int'l Lien on Vessel against new owner. Boat has already been removed from US documentation out of US.

Navy Recruiter

A navy recruiter called me and said I had to come in for an appointment to take the asvat test. He said I had to under law. I do not wish to join the navy and want to know my rights. Am I required as a U.S. Citizen to comply? If so what legally can I say that would invalidate my eligibility to serve the navy?
