dismissal of protective order

I filed a protective order on behalf of my minor daughter. We decided not to pursue, so I've filed for a dismissal. I havent' been notified of the court date for the dismissal, so do I have to go to the impending court date that was set to obtain the order. In other words, does the filing of the dismissal ''protect'' me from going to the originally set court date to get the protective order. If I am a no-show, am I in contempt? I filed the complaint but will I be in trouble? Thank you.

neighbors from hell

I have neighbors who are simply crazy. They have called animal control on me twice for my dog barking, He doesnt bark and I have signed statements from everyone who live near us they have never heard him bark. 2 weeks ago we met in mediation which didnt go very well, 2 days later my cat suddenly went missing. They have called Metro police on me for noise complaints for simply having a window open while I watch TV. They have thrown trash onto my property. I'm not the only one they have pulled these stunts on... I dont want revenge...I just wanna live my life without the drama. It has taken every single ounce of will I possess not to beat the hell out of them and risk serious legal action. PLEASE, I'm desperate for any form of good advice or help !

Are the police allow to frisk a driver, do a sobriety test and search a car without just cause? PO stops car because he feels my 24 yr old son can't afford a jaguar x type. POs think he is selling drugs.

Promotion

I currently work for a company as a network technician. In the last 3 years I have applied for over 30 jobs and have had only one interview and no other coorespondence whatsoever by the hiring agent although all I have been more than or equally qualified. I have a BS in Project Management, AA in Electronics and Telecommunications, and worked on Presidential communications in the Air Force. I have been passed up for multiple positions in the company and my own group by lesser qualified individuals. My current manager, prior supervisor, tried to fire me three times in the past and all were dismissed by HR or hire management. I believe this is blatant. The process with this company is that you can apply for the position, but there must be a notification and transfer paperwork signed by the supervisor before you can be considered. Also, the hiring individual must contact your supervisor before calling you in for an interview. This is a setup for supervisors that want to sabotage a persons career and I believe this is the case in my situation. What can I do? What should I do? Do I have a case? Should I contact a lawyer for this situation? By the way HR has already been made aware and have done nothing.

tenants do not want to vacate the property

I need help I had a lease option to buy contract for a year now that the year is up the tenants don't want to buy the home nor vacate the propery, and because the real state agent had add them to the title but not the loan they don't want to leave nor pay. I've received a call from a lawyer that they hire, but I just dont understand for what grounds because they gave the payments late and never payed the property taxes like it was stipulated in the contract. Please advise me has I don't know what to do at this point.

I think my lawyer cheated me

I won a court case by default judgement back in 2003. I was supposed to receive $75,000. and received nothing. I searched my case on-line and found that my fee was scratched out and my lawyer's fee was changed from $7,500 to $30,000. He told me the case was closed a long time ago. What in the world is this all about?

Neighbors tree on my property

My neighbor has a pine tree that is 80-85% on my property but the trunk is on his side. It has needles everywhere causing a fire hazard and it is over my roof. He refuses to let me cut it to the property line or to trim it. It doesnt matter if I clean up the needles because he never does so his just blow over to my side. HELP Please

Furniture Dispute

I'm dealing with a mentally unstable ex-combat Marine. I have evidence of years of stalking, even though we tried to be friends at one point. His behavior has gotten worse, but sporadic- obsessive phone calls/ messages, threats to my family, job interruptions.

NOW, he is trying to take legal action against me, for furniture and items which he gave to me. I moved into a new place, while he got evicted from his place. He told me to take some of his old furniture or it would be tossed by his landlord. I took them. While moving again, I asked him many times if he wanted his furniture back. He took some things, but then would come back, leaving them outside, claiming me responsible. I offered again, he kept declining. A new tenant was due to move in my old place and needed items, I sold them the furniture.

Yesterday, he left me a voicemail stating that his lawyer was sending me a letter to have ALL of his things back to him within 7-14 days. Otherwise, I will be sent to court. (Keep in mind this furniture issue I thought we both resolved 2 months ago when I moved out, sold the items).

Based on this information and background, does his claim/threat appear to be valid? Or must there be evidence for me to be held responsible? ANY HELP!

I have a private detective and a

lawyer trying to get a hold of me

concerning a matter belonging to my

now ex boyfriend. His mother hates

my guts and now I think shes trying

to save him jail time by saying I was

involved in a fatal car accident he

was in. (there was a witness that

saw everything that happened and

confirmed I wasnt there when it

happened) I gave my statement to

the real detectives (because I came

to the scene after it happened) and

havent heard anything since.. This

was over a year ago. Now his mom

hired a private detective and now

over 1 year later he and her have

been hounding me. Do I have to talk

to him? Whats right do I have? Can

she have her/my ex's lawyer

subpeona me? I just got married and

my brother passed and this is too

much stress. Any advice would be
