The issue is whether Petitioner has just cause to place Respondent, a classroom teacher, on administrative leave without pay from November 20, 2013, through the remainder of the 2013- 2014 school year due to Respondent’s excessive absenteeism, as alleged in the December 19, 2013, Statement of Charges.Respondent's pattern of excessive absenteeism over the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 school years resulted in just cause for the Board to place Respondent on leave for the remainder of the school year in lieu of termination.
