At issue in this proceeding is whether Thalya Greene, a minor, suffered an injury for which compensation should be awarded under the Florida Birth-Related Neurological Injury Compensation Plan.Infant`s brain injury, caused by meningitis, secondary to a Group B streptococcal infection acquired during the birthing process, was not the result of oxygen deprivation or mechanical injury. Therefore, claim was not compensable.
