As a material supplier, what can we put in place to insure a contractor pays us within the 30 day terms?

You should have an attorney draft an excellent agreement and determine strategies to make sure the materialmen qualifies for protection under the Colorado mechanic's lien law.
Unlike for contractors, subcontractors and other parties, the rules for materialmen as a protected party under the lien law is considerably more complicated. Contact a construction attorney and good luck.
