I live in the State of Michigan. The Governor of the state of Michigan signed an executive order that no evictions are to be executed due to the Coronavirus so that you can shelter to protect ourselves from Covid 19. I am homeless and I've been staying at this hotel for six months paying a daily rate. I am not able to pay due to income lost. Most things are closed here in Michigan
I have to admit I'm unsure if the Governor's order will protect you. Unfortunately hotels are covered by different laws than landlord tenant situations.
This is, basically, a landlord/tenant situation without a written lease. You could argue this point in court and, in my opinion, the hotel/motel would need court proceedings to evict you and if you are locked out without the benefit of Landlord/tenant proceedings in court, you might have an action for wrongful eviction, especially in light of the action taken by the Governor
