We are both in the lease and have split up, we told the landlord and they said they will terminate the lease if we leave and pay one more months rent. She is refusing to pay and I already paid my half, can they just evict her and terminate my end of the lease?
Your individual liability on the lease is not for just one half owed by each. Both of you are jointly and severally liable. And the lease payments are either current or not current; they can't be half current and half not current. So they probably can't just evict one of you.
