Trials can run anywhere from 30 minutes to over the course of several days, depending on the evidence and testimony presented.
In a DUI matter, it could take just 30 minutes for police and Datamaster operator to come in a testify that you were driving with a BAC over 0.08, and that the operator is properly trained and the machine calibrated correctly - that is if your only "defense" is to hope that the police made a mistake somewhere down the line, and the case gets dismissed on a technicality (doesn't happen nearly as often as people think it does - after all, ordinary DUIs are one of the more basic police tasks). DUI trials can take several days, though, if your defense involves multiple experts, or there was an accident involved.
By an large, an ordinary DUI trial will take no more than one day.
