Recently I did credit card due settlement with bank 110000, my out standing 293000 and principal 195000. I have given post dated cheque 24sept-2018.
But now I want do my credit card settlement from "lok adalat" it is possible? my post dated cheqe date is 24the sep-2018
I have fear that some people said that after settlement bank after sometime send collection agent again.
You can stop payment on the post-dated cheque and issue payment though lok adalat instead. If you have settlement papers evidencing the settlement agreement and you pay as agreed, however you pay, you should be fine.

Contract Labor - no contract no receipt
We hired a guy to pour a concrete slab for us. Small job, 300 sq ft. He quoted us $1100, paid in cash day of job so he can pay ''the guys''. I failed to ask for a receipt.
Received a certified letter from a company I've never heard of seeking to collect unpaid charges of $2400 for concrete work at my residence. They are threatening to put a lein on the property if we don't pay. I didn't contract with this company. But I don't have any documentation, nor a receipt from the guy I did verbally contract with and paid for the job. Do I have to pay this $2400 to this unknown company or should I fight this?
Sexual Harassment Question in ct
I am writing in hopes that we can receive some advice. My fianc� of 5 years was recently fired from a security firm that he worked for approximately 3 years. He was fired because of Sexual Harassment. A co-worker claimed that he brushed up against her obtaining access to the front desk of a building which they both secured. She made other claims that he asked her out and made comments suggesting he made advances.
My fianc� was put on suspension on 8/18 and after their investigation he was fired on 8/29. He met with HR and informed them that the charges were false. While they admitted that they could not prove the charges were true, they reviewed tape and saw that there were occasions where he needed to squeeze by her to gain access to the desk. He was told that he would be fired for this reason.
The question he has is, whether or not this claim will follow him as he pursues other employment and also whether or not he can seek any remedy for what he feels is wrongful termination. He has never had any issues in the past and feels that his reputation as a good employee has now been permanently tarnished.
Landlord being Foreclosued on.
Our Landlord is being foreclosed on. Papers have been served to the House, Naming Him and Tenant 1 and Tenant 2.
The landlord states the Mortgage Co. Has made a mistake and to go ahead and send the rent money.
I called the Firm handling the Foreclosure and they have Stated that on Aug 28th it goes to the Judge and it is in Publication now. They have confirmed the landlord has not contacted them at all.
Question: Do we have the right to withhold rent without penlty, Until this is taken care of by the landlord and/or the Courts.
Do we have any recourse, When the Landlord knowing rented to us when the house was going into Foreclosure. We have only been there for 2 months.
