Could you explain this point in a re-location settlement agreement?
The parties represent and warrant that they have not heretofore assigned or transfered or purported to assign or transfer to any person, firm or corporation whatsoever, any claim, debt, liability, demand, obligation, cost, expense, damage, action or cause of action herein released. In addition to any other demands they may have against one another, the undersigned agree to indemnify and hold each other harmless against any claim, debt, liability, demand, obligation, cost, expense ( including but not limited to attorney's fees incurred) damage, action or cause of action based on, or arising out of or in connection with any such transfer or assignment or purported transfer or assignment.
I feel the first sentence should read 'will not' instead of 'have not' ... I'm confused.... Thank You !
selective issuing of parking tickets
I was recently parked at a beach parking lot vaguely posted as no parking 12a.m.-6a.m. (4'' square sign hard to notice). Since there were about 50 cars there at 12:15 we went ahead and walked on beach. 30 min. later we returned to find a ticket on my car, but car next to mine, which was there before us had none. So I checked every car in lot -20 by this time- and only 1 other car was ticketed. Is it legal for cops to pick out 2 cars of 20, the only 2 non-luxury cars, for enforcement and letting everyone else get away with it? This community has a reputation for catering to the wealthiest segment, and cops routinely single out people in lower valued cars for harrassment letting the Hummers and Escalades with rich teenagers ignore stop signs, etc. The issue is selective enforecement and economic discrimination.
Filing Charges
My ex boyfriend was physical with me and a report was made on Memorial weekend. The police man took photos of all my injuries and there was a witness who saw my boyfriend dragging me back up the stairs of my apartment when I tried to get away for help. At the time I was uncertain if I wanted to press charges but chose to do so. After speaking to him I chose to drop the charges but now I regret doing so because my family and friends feel that what he did was wrong and I know it was wrong and feel I acted on pity for him and want to pursue charges. Am I able to change my mind and have it reviewed? Please advise.
