I dropped a class in college four years ago by turning in the "drop" form to my school's enrollment office. Just recently a grade appeared on my unofficial transcript saying that I received an "F" in the particular class that I dropped years ago. I called the school and they told me that they had no record of me dropping the class and that although I turned in the form to the office, my form may not have been forwarded to the department who has the power to remove the grade. This "F" on my transcript will drastically affect my chances of getting into a good law school, would I be able to sue if I get turned away from certain schools because of this blemish on my record? Thank you.

I graduated from a masters program about a decade ago. I was fired from one of the jobs on my resume and explained it in my application. The problem is that I lied about being fired to another employer on my resume. Is this grounds for rescinding my diploma? I came clean about being fired in my application but then again I lied to one of my employers as well.

Signing up, getting loans and going to classes at *** school my son was exited to complete his education with an elective that would be after a year of classes and tests. He went in to get his schedule as was advised by his financial/counselor that the terms of his school had been met, the elective was dropped from his schedule (without notice to him) because their new computer program deleted it. If he wanted to re apply and pay an addition $6000 he could, or he could graduate and walk with his class on 3/25/11. Which he did. Diploma on the wall. Now they are charging him for the 3 months he would have been there, and have not applied over $3000 in grants that were awarded, and sending threatening letters of collections. Legal?

I go to Heald College, my financial aid has been put on hold since my first day July 18 2011, I have been fighting with the financial aid department to get my funds sent to the school. I was told I never signed paperwork, I never brought in my drivers license and social security card, which i did three times, and all three times it was lost. I have talked to the director of financial aid, along with the Vice President and President of the campus. Every other week for eleven weeks I was locked out of my computer and sent to financial aid to deal with their mess ups, I missed at least six hours of a class that only meets once a week for eleven weeks. While I do have loans to pay for my education now, I will end up having to pay for classes I was hardly in due to financial aids mistakes. I was wondering if there was any way I could get to school to pay for the parts of the classes I missed?

My daughters attend public high school in Ohio. Everytime they have to give a presentation or speech at school, the teacher requires them to "dress up". This means dress pants, or skirt, etc. I understand the importance of teaching students to present themselves well, but my daughters truly don't own anything other than jeans or shorts or sweatpants. If they don't "dress up" for the assignment, they are given points off. I can't imagine this being "ok." Their father and I are already putting their brother through college and are saving as much as possible to pay for college tuition for the girls too. It is wasteful and a hardship for us to buy dress clothes. Is it legal to require them to "dress up" or have their grade reduced?

can a high school princepal tell a student they are no longer allowed to drive to school

im asking this because my son has been told he is no longer allowed to drive to school again and that the car he is driving will be towed if seen on campus due to some not creditable reports of unsafe driving in almost completely full, campus parking lot at the school before and after school

My daughter attends a private school in Georgia. A girl was expelled from school who was harrassing her on facebook last year ,as well as two other girls who she harssaded as well. My daughter was the main focus of her rage. This year the girl who was expelled came to homecoming and was recieved with open arms by the principal and staff who kicked her out in front of my daughter.The entire night the girl was going to different groups of kid talking about my daughter looking and pointing at her.The

School staff didnt ask her to leave . What kind of legal action canI take with the school

The private school my stepson goes to took them on a field trip sept. 21, 2011. Their permission slip stated that the children will leave campus at 10:30 and return to campus at 6:30. My stepson goes to the Covington, Ga campus and departed from there. They returned to the Conyers, Ga campus. My wife nor I were informed that they would be returning to the other campus. We asked them if anyone could bring him back to the Covington campus and if not that we would be late to pick him up. The owner called my wifes phone I answered. After i stated to her that this happens all the time(the schools lack of communication), the owner started getting rude with me. When we picked my stepson up they had a police officer there and the owner told my wife that her child was not to return. After a disscussion with my wife the owner agreed to let him stay but stated that my wife "had better be nice to her or else". We do not feel that this is fair treatment and would like to know what rights we have. Considering that the owner is a city counsel member we think she should have handeled it in a better manner and left out the threats.

If I registered for a class at a community college in California, but I never took the class, can the college charge me a late me? Apparently they are charging me a fee plus a late fee from 2009 and are billing me right now? Is this legal? It's been almost 3 years; I've never attended this college nor took a class. Is this legal?

My son has Autism and is a special education student. We just recently moved to Lancaster, CA and he has been attending schools here. My concern is that everytime he has had an IEP meeting, it is constantly being modified in the favor of the schools and not the student. For example, the first school he attended while we were in the process of moving down to Lancaster, made me aware that they had not many services to provide him and when I recieved his IEP it was modified to the services they did have which did not include social skills or language. The next school he attended did nearly the same, although he was not reading and doing math at a 3rd grade level, he was thrusted into it as well as put in the general ed setting. I have grown weary and fear my son is going to slip through the cracks. Please tell me what can I do or what should i do.
