My nineteen year old daughter has not lived with us for two years and is trying to go to beauty school and has to fill out a fafsa form. We do not get along with her at all and do not trust her with the info she is requesting. Can she take us to court and be ordered by a judge to give our social security numbers and income even though we have not suppported her for the two years ?

I am going into court pro-se The lawyer is filing a motion asking and wanting all my wifes fees paid tempoary child support etc... how do i dispute what they are asking for? by filing my own motion or by appearing and stating my case against their request sufficient ?

If stated in a divorce decree that a child must maintain reasonable academic standards as defined by that institution and the child, who is 19 years of age, had four classes, all of which an ''f'' was made in all classes in his second semester. Does that constitute proper termination of child support for that child under those terms. the child now lives with non-custodial parent and child support is still being paid to the custodial parent. My question in short is how can this be handled to terminate the support because it is not being used for the child because he lives with the non-custodial parent who is paying for school, feeding, clothing, and housing and paying for everything else and the custodial parent is getting away with child support and not supporting the child at all.

Can a Petitioner Violate Her Own Order for Protection?

If I have been awarded a TPO and am granted permission to contact respondent for financial matters, can he claim that I violated the TPO if I call, text or email him? what if I meet him for counseling?

Five years ago I gave child custody to the father because of my circumstances. I do call my daughter and when I can afford to see her I make that happen. He was living in ga. and I have been living in tx. For the last three years, he has been living in S.C. Our custody agreement is still in the same state which neither parent lives in. My attorneys told me today that my husbands' attorney had a heartattack & my OSC next Mon. will probably result in a continuance. Furthermore since husband will not pay my attorneys now they are finished w/my case. I am practically destitute paying months of (unknown) unpaid bills and taking care of 1 minor child & 1 full time student--------Can't temporary support be ordered by the judge anyway? I'm afraid my attorneys have not been upfront about this........Husband is in another state lucratively working (finally)w/a 3 yr. restraining order & will drag this out at all costs. Meanwhile he hasn't paid taxes since 2003 and we owe over $150,000. I am a teacher and only want to move on w/my life after 22 years. Husband is a registered sex offender and yet wants to continue visitation argument for minor child. Oldest 2 want nothing to do w/him. How can I have some amount of support awarded to me this next day in court regardless of the fact that his attorney will not be there and his representative is asking for a continuance?

My mother and stepfather told me at the age of 6 that my stepfather had adopted me. I've gone though my life believing this. I'm now 61 years old and I'm trying to get a driver's license in the state of Georgia but my birth certificate states my real father's name and there are no adoption papers. Both my parents and stepfather are now deceased. With out proof of how I went from my birth certificate name to using my stepfather's they will not let me get a license in Georgia. When I got married they didn't require a birth certificate in Minnesota in 1965. I'm now divorced. Do you have any advise for me?

legally setting up visitations/unmarried

Do I need to legally set up visitations & the rules that would go along with it? Should I file for sole custody to ensure my son will stay with me? We are unmarried with a 16 month old and are separating. Our son will live with me (mother). I have been the primary caregiver & financial supporter since he was born. His dad is/was not home but 1 or 2 times a week so I am mainly what son knows. I don't want him to have our son overnight at this age.I feel it might be confusing for our son since he is not used to being away from me besides at his grandmother's during the day while I work. The father has not spent much if any time alone with our child and I don't doubt that he can care for him but I am fairly sure it will be confusing and scary for our son. I DO NOT want to exclude his father and I want his father to play and active role in his life. I just want what is best for my son and feel the same stability and routines he has had his whole life will keep this process smoother. We plan on talking and trying to set up how we will handle this without getting the courts involved. I just need to know where and how to go about seeking advice or counsel should we not be able to agree on terms of visitation

Baby's daddy wants to meet & talk

I'm 2 months pregnant & for many reasons, no longer trust the baby's dad� a previous friend, 25 yrs older, who I decided to sleep with. I'm not going to put him on the birth certificate. In fact, I'm leaving town to get away from him. He may fight for paternity to get close to me; he thinks he and I share a soul. He wants to meet to discuss the situation... if I'm leaving, if I will have an abortion... My son is still refusing to visit his father. The judge just re-awarded my physical custody and the father legal joing custody. The visitation starts again tomorrow. His father just stated again if you don't get your grades up your going to a boys home. My son is 15. Does he have to follow the court order?

I took my little girl to my stepmoms house to be looked after until i got on my feet after my husband left me. He took our little boy with him. I now have my little boy and am stable and have filed for divorce in Texas. My stepmom has my little girl in California. The court of texas filed a hapeous corpus for her to bring my girl back. tried to pick her up the the police would not let me take her. She has now filed for guardianship in California. They are telling me i have to go to Cali and get another Lawyer. what rights do I have and how do i handle this. My girl has been in California for appr. 6mnths.
