deed of grandmothers house

I received the Real Estate Tax for my grandmothers house. Her will had stated that the estate would be split 6 ways. When I called the treasurer's office about the bill, I was informed that only my name was on the deed. Looking online for that city & state, I found that the property was infact transfered into my name Feb 28, 2008. Who do I contact to get a copy of the will, and why wouldn't I have been informed of this when the estate issued checks to all of us, and finished up. I am not sure what steps to take next....

We have a property that was left by parents. One of our sisters was living in the residents and passed a few years ago(propery was in her name) and we do not have any documents on the property. Recent information states that there is a second morgage on the property. How can we find out who and when this was done? Can one get free legal help from a lawyer if one is over the age of 62?

Estate Executor problem.

My Aunt was named executor of a cousins' estate. The house has not sold and has only had 1 showing. She told a family member he could move in and just cover utilities and taxes. They are about to move in any day now.

But we told her of someone who wants to buy the house. We told her first about this person a few months back. the potential buyer wants to rent it until May when the lender says she can get a loan by. She is willing to pay $500 a month (more than the 150 to cover taxes).

Now the executor won't talk to the potential buyer. she says she made a deal. she also claims the potenial buyer can't afford it. (which she would have no way of knowing).

can she do this? should we call the attorney involved?

Hi, My father passed away and left his land to my sister and I but he did not have a valid will. How can we get the land transferred in our names?

Can heirs sue person with POA after ward's death?

Before grandmother died, her oldest daughter got POA in court. Both daughters were to get grandmother's house after her death and remaining money in her account was to go to us, the four grandchildren, equally. Oldest daughter (aunt/mother to grandchildren) used over $60k to fix up the house (grandmother lived with her younger daughter and the house was being rented out). She also paid her husband an unknown amount to do 'maintenence' on the house. They knew the house would be theirs shortly and were trying to boost the value. They also said they were trying to spend down all of her money so she would go on Medicaid.

We (the grandchildren) think this isn't what the person with POA should have done. The daughters are selling the house so they could replace the money.

Can we as beneficiaries request accounting of grandmother's accounts while she had POA, or take her to court in this case, though?

My grandmother passed in 2000 and had a will leaving everything to a trust. It was notorized, signed by grandmother, lawyer and a witness. We have the original copy, but it was never filed with the courthouse. My father, who has been in charge of trust passed away in Sept 2008. He remarried last year. The above mentioned will included mineral rights. Will my father's new wife have a claim to these mineral rights or will my grandmother's will be sufficient even though it is not on file at the courthouse? My brothers and I are the only beneficiaries to the trust which was disolved upon his death.

my father is not legally my father but he raised me, he told me he wanted me to be in control of his health if something ever happened to him. we never made a legal will or directive. so is there anything i can do. hes in the hospital now, and on so much medication hes not oriented. help

Can my mother and father change their will so my husband receives none of their inheritance? They are leaving all the money to me, but as long as we're married, how can this legally happen? Our son is listed in the will, but how can a spouse be excluded?

my father died oct. 2 at 3:15pm he lived in ohio with my cousin and her husband so they had access to his personal property so around 10 pm on oct. 3 they used his ATM card and took out money from his bank account I cant get exact numbers because his death certificate is not done yet but I did talk the bank into canceling his atm card but they could still write checks. The way the lady from the bank talked he did not have much money in there and they took the max out they could at one time. Plus I think it was his SS check for this month. What can I do to them and do I have to give his SS check for this month since he died on the 2?

My mother in law passed away this summer, and had no estate to speak of. She had a leased vehicle which we voluntarily had repossesed on her behalf. The leasing agent had the vehicle sold, but is now claiming that her estate still owes them money. There was no estate. What if any responce should I have for the leasing agent?

a month ago my father was admited to the hospital and i lived too far away to be of any help so my half brother on my mothers side i trusted withthe power of attorney now my fathers house has been emptied and he is in a less than good nursing home i am not sure he can revoke the power of attorney i need help i feel there is also more wrong being done such as mis appropriation of my fathers finances can i do anything at all or is he lost?
