On March 21, 2020, I received a letter from a debt collector saying the following:
"Pursuant to Florida Rule of Civil Procedure 1.977 and the Final Judgment entered on January 10, 2012, please return the completed Fact Information Sheet to our office within 30 days from the date of this letter (3/12/2020)."
The case status is Reclosed case.
My wedding was set for April 26th of this year and we paid a 300$ deposit on a venue, and now with the President and CDC’s warning about gatherings of 10 or more we had to cancel. My fiance and I have compromised immune systems and can’t risk contracting the virus, as are a good chunk of our guests. They wont allow us to get our deposit back even though its due to the state of emergency in the US.
Hello,
I have been on approved FMLA leave for about 9 weeks now. I was planning to go back the 23rd and have been in contact with my employer over the entirety of this 9 weeks. I was just informed yesterday I will NOT be going back to the hours I left from. (40 hours) Can they do this? How does this effect my benefits? I understand the world is economically in a tight spot but they're telling me they aren't even sure when they are going to let me come back next week and if I can't pay for childcare I might as well pull the kids out. I'm also wondering if by chance I signed saying I would be guaranteed 40 hours does that have any matter to how this goes. What if the agreement was via email? Please help or give any guidance if there is any to be given!
We live in Florida and in the wake of the COVID-19 i have to cancel my wedding. The event venue is telling my wife and I that they won't give us our money back, and we must pick another date. Can they do that? We are so overwhelmed
Some courts are closed but I suspect lawsuits can still be eFiled, however, will they be processed during this pandemic?
