If you are facing a misdemeanor, felony or violation of probation, you should seriously consider hiring a defense attorney. If you do not have one by your first court appearance, you can ask the Judge to give you time to hire an attorney.
When creditors are suing, harassing you or garnishing your wages, consider filing a chapter 7 to discharge your debt. You do not have to worry about losing your primary residence, typically it is exempt from falling onto someone else's hands.
Filing chapter 13 is a great way to reorganize your debt. You can aggressively save your home in the Court's mortgage modification program, strip the condo/HOA liens from your home or reduce your car payments.
People do not often save their home in foreclosure court. If you find yourself here without a strong case, consider modifying your mortgage, we have successfully modified many many mortgages.
