The issue in this case is whether the Respondent, the Department of Insurance, should grant the application of the Petitioner, Nationwide Mutual Fire Insurance Company (Nationwide), for residential property and casualty insurance premium rate increases.Petitioner filed for an insurance rate increase mostly in hurricane component of rate filing. Rate indications were 58% using a computer model accepted by the Hurricane Commission. RO: Model supported 27% increase requested.
