Attorneys breaking the law!!!

Does losing your drivers license, failing to appear and warrants issued for multiple traffic citiations, have any effect on your attorneys license to practice law? In Calif.?

You can read the back pages of California Lawyer; and State Bar Journal, available online at calbar.ca.gov, to get an idea of what kinds of attorney misconduct will interest the State Bar.

My best guess is that a single failure-to-appear warrant on a misdemeanor charge, or multiple failure-to-appear warrants on traffic tickets, will get their attention. In all likelihood the traffic tickets themselves will not attract their attention unless there are many of them; there is a DUI; or one or more citations is for a "moral turpitude" offense such as displaying false license plates or fraudulently using a handicapped placard.
