HI, My parents recently became US citizen. I am 30 years old son. I am legally in US since 2006. Is there anyway I can get work permit(EAD) through my parents? I haven't file I-130 yet, thinking that it takes many years. My parents don't have enough income , so can file saying that they needed my financial support or any other way.

thanks,

Jay

One of your parents will have to file an I-130 petition in order for you to obtain a work permit in the US. It will take a few years to obtain an actual work permit. You will need to wait until your priority date becomes current to submit your application for adjustment of status including the application for employment authorization. They are currently processing cases in your category (child (21+ years) of a US Citizen) filed on or before 05/01/2004. You can use a co-sponsor to support your case if your parents do not have enough income.
