Can the judge drop the ticket if I'm driving legit by the court date?
Only the states attorney can drop a ticket. The judge can dismiss the ticket but legally speaking the fact that you are no longer suspended is not a defense to a driving while suspended. In many jurisdictions, such as the one where I practice, the prosecutor will dismiss a driving suspended if the person comes to court with valid privileges. Even absent a dismissal, it seems like a good basis to request a court supervision. If you are convicted, and supervision is not a conviction, you might get a new suspension depending upon the reason for the original one.
