I am renting a condo for three months. The landlord did not go through the proper channels of the condo building (no background check or credit check which he was supposed to do) so I am not in the system or listed as a resident. He told the building I am a guest but did not tell me this would mean I wouldn't be able to receive mail and packages. Everything that comes with my name on it is being sent back. I spoke to the front desk and they confirmed that since I am not in the system I cannot receive mail. Is this a valid reason to break the lease? I told the landlord and he hasn't done anything about it. I am one month into the lease and haven't been able to receive anything at this address the entire month.

Your lease must be reviewed to determine your rights. There is no absolute right based on the facts given.
