Be sure that yours is "joint tenants with the right of survivorship" as opposed to "Tenancy by the entireties". In the first you will have to depend totally on whatever homestead exemptions Indiana has, in the second as here in Florida the property whether homestead or not is protected by the tenancy if only one member of the tenancy files.

This consumes about 3 days of lectures in law school, so I suggest you talk to an Indiana lawyer about this.

Good Luck

Only to the extent of your homestead exemption ( and your spouses iexemption if filing too).
