You need to have a real estate attorney review your contract. To determine if this is a "recourse" agreement, meaning the timeshare can sue you for money owed, or if the timeshare can only take your interest in the property. You will have to pay someone "money up front", so you are smart to hire a law firm to protect your legal interests.
