My ex got pregnant when we were together. She said she was going to get an abortion but recently i found out she didnt. She is giving the baby up for adoption and put me down as the father. im not sure if i am really the father. If i am the father i dont want to give the baby up for adoption. Can i get custody of the baby if it's mine and if so how do i get custody of the baby?
File a paternity case in court and request DNA testing. If it is shown you are the biological father, you can request custody and placement rights.
File a declaration of paternal interest immediately, if you don't want the baby given up for adoption. Then file a paternity action requesting a DNA test to see if you are the father.
