Do I have a case?

I was working at a bar for a short period of time as a waitress. when hired I was promised Sunday Football shifts. During training the owner of the bar asked me about my personal dating life as well as asking me out although he made it clear he does not have commited relationships. He said that he wanted to get me drunk and take me home.. I avoided saying yes or no and made it clear I was dating someone. He then made a few more comments about going out and getting me drunk.. When I refused my schedule changed and the shifts I should have been getting was given to new hires. I missed a shift due to a schedule confusion and promptly apologized only to be sternly yelled at in front of a new employee. The next day I worked for one hour and then was pulled aside by his assistant and told that he wanted to let me go however I could change that if I apologized to him in the office yet once again. I chose not to do so and left promptly. When speaking to some old employees they were not surpised that I thought it was due to rejecting his offers.. Do I have a case?

Sexual Explicit Text Messaging by a Minor

What are the laws against minors who send sexually explicit text messages to another minor. In this case it's a 15 year old boy sending messages to a 10 year girl.

harrasment/discrimination at work

i was harassed at work by a doctor in jan.2006. I failed to make a formal complaint thinking my boss would handle the situation and I can forget about it. I verbally agreed not to press charges they told me if i did the Dr. can lose his license. Since then I've lost hours at work and I was not allowed to go back to one of the companies location because this person worked there. Now almost a year later they want me to go back to this location or I lose the few hours of work i have left with this company. When i asked why they are allowing me to go now, my supervisor said I wouldn't be working in the Emergency room which is where the Dr. works. I don't feel safe going back to this place but i also don't want to lose my hours. I have expressed my anger and concern with my supervisor but he just puts his head down and doesn't say much. Is there anything I can do about this situation?

Sexual harassment in the workplace but by an owner's relative

I work at an animal hospital owned by 3 partners. One of the partner's brother has a key to the facility and comes and goes as he pleases (we are emergency only open at night and the 2 of the owners have stated that he is not an employee, nor does he have any financial connection with the company).Well the man leaned his entire body against the front side/chest of a female--name removed--member's body, reaching for something on the printer.There was a past situation where this same man bought panties for a different female he had no relationship with. The owner says he did nothing wrong and it ''wouldn't hold up in court anyway''. The entire--name removed-- consisting of females, are very uncomfortable with this man being in the facility. One other note, may it not be relevant, is that he spent 20 years in prison for ''drugs''. (Keep in mind, we are a medical facility, with controlled drugs on the premise also). What obligations do these partners have to keep us out of this situation with a man that has no legitimate involvement with the company?

Hi I am in situation that I do not know what 2 do. I am in Foster Care I am male of 19 years of age and my foster brother is 17 My foster brother basically blackmailed me when my foster mother wasn't home and told me he would tell and alot of bad stuff was going on with me and I lied about it alot. Now my foster brother was crazy he told me to have sexual relations with him and he said if I dont do it I will get told on and I had lied about things numerous and knew that if I told somebody my foster brother would say he's lying again and It would look bad on me so my foster brother forces himself onto me and made me do it with after i agreed and wasnt wlling to do it he made me do terrible things and I wanted to be removed from the foster for that reason and did not tell the agency why I really wanted to move so i kept it to myself and went on for a few months untili told him no and then he tells his school counsleor that we had a intimate relationshp and that we both consent which was not really the whole truth. i am stuck cause im the victim and I am 19 what can I do cause cps is invovle i feel like i have no optionsand cant do a thing about it also I have left the premsis as soon as i found out that my he told and not returning

i have worked for my boyfriend for 3 years he fired me today because he didnt see me over the weekend . He is also the owner of the company . what can i do about this im a single mom with no help from any one.

Gas station

Is this a sexual harassment case if one of my co-workers came up to me and hugged me and kissed me on my neck after I had told him before not to hug me. Not only that he would get close to me and start giving me a massage after i told him to stop. I told my employer and he said that maybe he was just trying to be nice and friendly. But this co-worker has made me feel very uncomfortable with his perverted questions and his actions towards me too.

My husband has been harassed by another male (a credit manager)

My husband has been having problems with another co worker for years. This co worker has made sexual comments to my husband and other employees. He has also put his hands on my husband. My husband has told the guy to stop & also complained to management numerous times. Nothing has ever been done to protect my husband or the other employees that have been harassed. The manager told my husband to just ignore the guy & his comments. The manager of this branch is afraid of this one employee because he has been with the co. for almost 30 yrs & he is personal friends with the owner. So he allows things to go on at this store that he shouldn't. Porn is viewed on company computers by certain employees. The credit man. has talked about doing oral things to other male employees, he has made fun of one guys '' size'' in front of everyone, after seeing the guy using the bathroom, he tells everyone my husband is gay. This employee threatens peoples jobs & says they are only there because he allows it. He has lied to get my husband fired. Other co workers have had to tell management the truth to save my husbands job. 2 weeks ago, my husband ended up loosing his job because of this man. My husband wants to take legal action. What can he do?

I worked at Kelly's in Houston for months and was constantly harassed sexually from verbal to groping incidents, so were other waitresses. When we complained to management there was no disciplinary action taken against the cooks/dishwashers who did things. I had to quit because of the poor work environment.What can I do?

Harassment not reported- is company still liable?

If a report was never made to the employer regarding sexual harassment by another employee with an extensive HR file related to the same, can the employer still be held responsible for the unreported actions? If there are witnesses, the extensive history, and the employer never sanctioned the individual for his/her past actions, is that enough to find the company liable for this employee's actions (who is largely responsible for the company's success) even without a formal complaint being filed?

In PA, if you report Sexual Harassment to your employer & they point blank choose not to do anything about it, what are your legal rights?

My mother was sexually harassed by a patient while at work. She is a dental hygienist, and while cleaning this man's teeth, he moved his head toward her breasts twice (after being told by her to move it back to the center of the chair). To which he responded ''I should slap you for that.''

My mother asked one of the dentists in the office (in front of the man) to take care of the situation...she was brushed off & the dentist continued on with a different conversation. She approached the dentist (later that day), telling him that she was not kidding & that this was a serious matter. He, at the time, apologized & told her to document the situation...also that a letter would be written banning the man from the office on the basis of Sexual Harassment. She documented everything, and the details were put through to the office's Insurance company (in case of lawsuit).

Since then, the dentist has had a change of character. He has pulled her aside and personally told her that he has decided Not to send the letter to the man. Not to mention that he is very angry at Her???

What are her options?

I was asked by a female coworker, whose desk is directly next to mine, if I would ever get my boobs done. I am NOT a small chested woman & felt this was a direct question of ....''have I had them done?''. Should I bring this up to my HR director?

I worked at a strip club and my boss the manager would always grab my butt and say things like if you want a smoke break that is going to cost you, youll have to give me a blow job or head is that sexual harrasment even though i worked at a strip club?

ok so Ive worked at the same company for 4 years now, and am currently under investigation for sexual haressment. in case of termination what should i do? there were 4 things that are under investigation. first according to some of my co workers when ever they bend over or lean down I get into position to stair at them. 2nd While i was off the clock they asked me which store i liked working at most and I said I like both but in some ways the other store is better it has a more open personality. 3rd Supposedly I hit on one of my male co workers, telling him he wasnt really my type and he is saying this was haressment. and 4th I said that alot of girls in utah seem to stop developing at the age of 13. I'm more of a hips/thigh man which is depressing because there arnt any out here. this I said to a co-worker who was discussing things we look for in women at this store. I try to avoid most of the people that i work with because all they ever talk about is there relationships, which is something i really dont want to hear about. Please help. If I'm fired is there any recourse i can take?

Sexual harassment from supervisor

I have been working at a library for several months. My supervisor has made unwelcome and persistent sexual remarks over my several months of employment. He's a senior and crucial member of our team, very much older than me. He flirts a little and teases other female employees, but his remarks were more explicit and common with me than with the others I observed. I finally had enough and asked him one day to please stop. The next day he was very cold, gruff, curt and unresponsive (ie. I would ask him a question and he would ignore me and talk to someone else as if he hadn't heard me) and is no longer clear in his requests or orders to me. I've become so nervous I can't concentrate on my work properly and keep making mistakes, nothing major but he's always very unpleasant about them, whereas before he would overlook any small errors. I asked him to please go to lunch and talk with me, and he refused immediately, said ''no no no'' when I asked again ''please will you, I really need to talk to you'' and then he said ''I don't need to hear any more'' and walked away. I need to know if this constitutes a case of sexual harassment and then discrimination in employment/retaliation for complaining. Please please help!

Manipulative Boss

My girlfriend began working for a T.V. production company as an intern 6 months ago, but for the past 3 months she has been employed by the same company. Her supervisor, who is also an associate executive producer. For about 3 months her their relationship has grown more flirtacious, culminating in an Instant Messanger conversation in which he incited explicit sexual talk with her, and requested a nude picture--which she sent him. Since then he has twice requested more pictures via email, to which she did not respond. A week later she told him it had to end, and asked that he tell the primary executive producer--which he first said he did and would step down, but actually did neither. He has also encouraged her to break up with me. Since she approached him, a continuation of her employment he had offered her during their flirtacious relationship has been revoked, as did another offer he made to employee her after he accepted a new position at a different company--an offer based on his ''appreciation for her good work''. He has also made potentially greater workload demands of her since then, but she is concerned pursuing this matter will ruin her reputation and negate her hard work. Can and should she file a complaint?

sexual harassment

i work with mostly men.we have no dress code but i was told to wear jeans and a t-shirt.we have a very lax enviroment. inapropriate comments and jokes are a regular thing. my boss and i have become very close and some coworkers have become very spiteful and are looking for reason to get rid of me. some complaints were made to my supervisor about seeing my underwear when i bent over and that my t-shirts where too tight and i was asked to go home and change. is this right? and what can i do to protect myself? i was told my clothing was inapropriate and needed to be more professional. I was also told to right a letter of apology to my supervisor by my immediate boss.
