Nothing. You should dispute it with collection agency if fraudulent and they will leave you alone.
false arrest
If I am a passenger in a routine police stop and he searched the car and he claims to have found a knife under the passenger seat who is held responsible for the knife if no one claimed it. However the first time seeing the knife is when he pulled it from the passenger side of the police car.
Is there a favorable way to get a georgia state tax execution removed from the public record? I'm primarily concerned with it's impact on my credit score.
The state filed the lien because they didn't post my income tax payment to the correct years' account. I moved around the time they were sending notices about the assessment and only discovered the filing after it was too late.
Once they corrected the accounting error (more than 12 months ago), I was told the Fifa filing would be pulled. Shame on me for not checking on this much earlier. This was brought to my attention when reviewing my credit report; I uncovered a big black eye "Public Record" entry.
Is there such a concept as a wrongfully filed lien? Is there some other disposition to this record that I should formally request? Is it up to me as the defendant to get this removed by filing some paperwork with the clerk of the superior court or is there an accepted method to formally request that the Georgia Department of Revenue remove the filing?
I appreciate any feedback.
I have a rental property with tenants 1.5 years remaining before lease expires. The tenant has agreed to exit the premises if and when we sell the property. I assume Ill need to add an addendum to the existing lease stating Ill give the tenant a 30 day notice when the property has reached a point when Im certain the purchase transaction will occur. Note: The tenant has agreed to the above.
Question: I realize you can put anything in a contract and have both parties agree/sign, but if its not legal then . Is it legal to give a tenant a 30 day notice when both parties have agreed to the terms?
