In this video, Board Certified Immigration Attorney explains how to navigate the U.S. Immigration process given the procedural changes with the agencies during the pandemic.
The Distillation of Tinctures from Pre-taxed Ethanol
I realize it is illegal to produce spirits
without paying the appropriate taxes
and not having the proper licenses.
If a tincture that is intended for
personal use is made by dissolving an
herb into rum purchased at a liquor
store is later distilled, would the
distillation itself be illegal despite that
the spirit used as the solvent was
already taxed?
I owned a house which I sold to my girlfriend. The 2nd mortgage (HELOC) on it was paid off but never closed. After I left the country, she reused the HELOC in both our names without my permission. She then lost the house due to foreclosure and then declared bankruptcy. Now the bank is chasing me down expecting me to pay the entirety of the HELOC because it was still partially in my name despite my having NOTHING to do with it. (I never saw nor signed nor knew about the document that paid off the HELOC the first time but didn't close it)
#1. Who is responsible?
#2. I heard that there is a law in California that says they can't come after you if the property was foreclosed on, or something to that extent. Is that true?
Thank you.
my daughters probation is being revoked
My daughter says the judge is revoking her probation because she took prescription xanax while on probation with a doctors prescription. She says her probation officer never told her she could not take prescription narcotics and she kept her aware of her prescriptions. She has been
on probation for 4 years after doing 18 mo for prescription fraud. She was picked up in July for buying drugs from undercover but says those charges were trumped up and that has all been taken care of.
But judge reviewed her file and found she had been taking xanax and says she has been breaking probation all along. Now she says she will get to go to SAFE P for 6 mo but she hasn't been in front of the judge yet. Sounds fishy to me.
