My mom is 85 and my 11 yr daughter & I live with her. My sister, trying to help out our mother, put her on title 19 for the medical benefits. In my mother's will it is stated that I am to get the house, but now I understand that because she is on title 19 there is a lien on the house and once she passes away we are going to have to pay off the lien. Is this true?

I had a deed with a retained life estate prepared. I noted a scrivener's error in the first name (the first name is John True and it was typed is Johnathan True. What would need to be done to correct it and how much would it cost?

A friend revoked a power of attorney. She is being told by many than because she has dementia she cannot do so.

I was witness to the following:

Prior to a notary documenting the revocation, she read and afterwards my friend, read the revocation out load, she asked her to explain what it meant, which she did. She then asked her if this is what she wanted to do, to which she replied "Yes", at which time the notary filled out the paperwork needed and stamped it. My friend is being told that the document is illegal. She believes that if the revocation is to be contested it needs to be done in a court of law.

My questions:

Was the document correctly?

Does a protestment of the revocation need to go to court?

I have a sister presently living with my mother (age 98) who is now dieing. our sister claims to have power of attorney and refuses any of her siblings to set foot in the house and be at our mother bed side before she dies.

what rights as siblings to we have to force our sister into seeing our own mother?

she has already called the Sheriff's dept demanding that we vacate the house and refuses to open the door to us if we are to return.

we do not expect our mother to live another 1 week.
