heart attack from birth control pill

I'm 22 and very healthy. I Don't drink, smoke or use any type of recreational drugs. I had a heart attack from my birth control pills. I have a bunch of medical expenses that i really can't afford to pay not even including the ongoing care i have to continue with. I Was wandering would it be worth trying to get a settlement from the company to cover these expenses for the past, present, and the future.

walmart caused engine knock

oil change done on 2004 sebring on time by walmart every 3000 miles or less for 2 years nothing wrong with engine. car taken to walmart for oil chage on time but 1 hour after oil light came on checked oil it did not register took four quarts to get it back to walmart. walmart said it would reemberce for oil and determained that it had a falty oil filter and changed it put new oil in and gave another oil change free of charge car had knock when leaving did not comming in. do I have a case?

small claims

My husband and I recently purchased a used log splitter. When we read the seller's ad on ebay, it said that it ''ran flawlessly'', also the seller mentioned that he purchased it last year for $1500.00.

The asking price for the machine was $900.00. We called the seller and asked him if we cuold buy it outright without bidding on it. He said that would be fine, and since he lived in the same state as us, we went and picked it up the next day. When we arrived at his house, he turned the machine on, and pushed the lever forward and then pulled it back to simulate the motion of splitting an actual log (we did not see the splitter actually split a real log). He said that he was using the machine last year and that it ran great. When my husband tried to split a log the following night, it would not split the wood. Whenever we applied pressure to the wood the machine would stall and shut down. If we took this claim to small claims court...what are our chances of winning?

Estate Planning -

I am remarried with two children. I have a son who is 18 from a prior marriage. I am working on our wills and I was wondering whether it makes sense to split my part of the estate in thirds and my wifes in half. For instance, if the house is worth $900K, I would split my portion - $150K each and our joint kids would get $375K. How do I insure that if I go first than my son will get some estate payout but I don't want to leave my wife without enough. Should I just earmark a portion of a life insurance policy for him? Should he get any of the house sincehe really never lived here but it is a big part of my estate. I certainly would not want to force a sale.

roofing company broke my a/c

I had a re-roof done on the house. In the process, the nails punctured the cooper tubing for the a/c. The roof company says it's not their fault, everything passed inspection. They said the tubing wasn't placed to code and how could they know it was so close to the roof. They say go to the installer, the unit is 15 years old, and ask them to re-do the installation. The a/c repair people said it will cost $550 to replace the cooper tubing and get it working. Where do I go from here?

drug liability case

there is a multi-district litigation going on in minnesota in which i am the only pro se litigant out of about 400 cases. the court selected 3 bellwether cases for ''the parties to evaluate their settlement positions.'' after the first case ended with the plaintiff being awarded $8.3 million, the second and third bellwethers were quickly settled with details not being disclosed. now the court is set to hold a conference to ascertain if a fourth bellwether is needed. as a layperson, this not only seems unfair because 2/3 of the info with which plaintiffs were to evaluate their positions is being hidden from them, but it seems shady that we had 3 trials scheduled, the defense rushes to settle, and now they want another bellwether trial. is this typical of bellwether trials? i also can't help but to think that plaintiff's counsel is working with defense counsel at the expense of certain clients.

Bicycle/moped suspension fork failure

I recently had a freind purchase a front suspension fork off ebay for my whizzer style moped/Bicycle

the fork was advertised as stronger than the OEM and in fact pictured on a motorized BICYCLE

After traveling less than 3 miles the fork failed over a gentle speed bump in front of my home

I had ridden over the same speed bump many times over a 3 year period logging over 500 miles on the oem style suspension fork

I have dibilitatating injuries and excessive medical bills I've lost the use of my hand and fingers do to nerve injury

I would like to know the extent to which I can hold a company or companies financially responsible for my having ingested bug larva that were in a box of candy? Would I have a viable lawsuit? There was no personal physical injury, though I am going to my doctor tomorrow to see if what was in the box can make me sick. But,I have been quite nauseated since the event.
